TTI sister company, TTI-Marine Renewables, are pleased to announce the start of a 3 year floating wind turbine project involving Toda Corporation (Japan), Kyushu University (Japan) and Bridon-Bekaert (Scotland) and TTI-Marine Renewables (Scotland) funded by Scottish Development International in collaboration with the Nippon Foundation. The project will involve the development of a taut synthetic mooring system for 2MW and 10MW floating wind turbines to be located off the coast of Goto Island, Japan.
